Our Namesake

Kristina, Queen of Sweden, was a scholar who traveled Europe and gathered some of the foremost scientist, philosophers, and inventors to serve at her court. Many others were invited to visit her to make exhibits. She had a wit. When told animals were just like machines, she responded, “I’ve never seen my watch give birth to baby watches.” We honor her for love of learning and discovery, as the namesake of our school.
